A Love Letter To The Universe - rec by @SOULFUL_OLD_MAN_SUNSHINE : NASA IMAGE AND VIDEO LIBRARY

In the vastness of the boundless sky,
Where celestials in distant dances fly,
I exist in awe, my heart so full,
Grateful for this endless pull.

Through lenses sharp, or just our eyes,
We glimpse some truth in unknown skies.
The present force of gravitation,
Binding bodies in orbits’ station.

The draw of clouds, of vibrant hue,
Where stardust drifts and wishes new,
A nebula’s bloom, colourful flare,
The cosmos’ soul, I long to wear.

To wonder what it’s like to fall,
Into a black hole’s hungry call,
Where matter bends, sight and time,
Would laws shift in twisted rhyme?

The thoughts of foreign worlds, of flight,
Or our planet's friend, who shines at night.
The spaces between the galaxies grow,
Of cosmic routes we’ll never know.

We can’t explore each unknown way,
Or touch the paths that comets play,
But here we are, a fleeting spark,
Alive beneath the ceaseless dark.

So though we can’t hold all stars so bright,
Or feel the pulse of far off light,
Just seeing through a mirrored lens,
Is enough to know where beauty tends.

How wondrous that we share this place,
A gift to dream, to love, to chase.
The universe, a swirling sea,
And here we are, in harmony.

-- In honour of Valentine's Day, this is my love letter to the universe. I've had the foundation of it for a while, but couldn't stop picking at it. Reading this lovely rec inspired me to expand and finish it! Thanks again to @SOULFUL_OLD_MAN_SUNSHINE
